PURPOSE:To increase the cutting capability and the cutting speed of the titled cutter, to save power and improve the working efficiency of the cutter by a method wherein the cutting edge of the diamond cutter is provided with a plurality of biting parts for a work. CONSTITUTION:The diamond cutter, rotating into the arrow sign direction, is pressed against the work 20, such as the asphalt or the like of the surface of a road, then, the biting parts 16, formed on the cutting edges 14 of the cutter so as to be recessed, bite the work 20 and cut it when the cutter is advanced along the cutting part 20a of the work 20 under grinding it. During this cutting, the cutter 12 is worn as shown by imaginally lines L1, L2, however, the cutting grooves 13, provided on the cutter 12, are formed so as to run into the radial direction along the whole width of the annular cutter 12, therefore, the biting parts 16 on the cutting edges 14 will never be worn out until the cutter 12 is worn out perfectly and the biting effect against the work 20 may be continued. |
