PURPOSE:To effectively discharge air, water component or the like contained in a raw material of a resin, by providing degassing holes on both upstream and downstream sides of molten resin charging parts provided between a barrel and a screw shaft, in a vented extruder. CONSTITUTION:Main bodies 5, 5' of a twin screw are placed in the barrel 4, a raw material of a thermoplastic resin supplied from a supplying machine 1 through a supplying port 3 is fed rightward while kneading with heating, and is extruded through a metallic die 15 to obtain an extrudate. In said extruder, the main bodies 5, 5' of the twin screw are provided with kneading disks 6, 6' to form the molten resin charging parts 8, 8' between the barrel 4 and the disks 6, 6', the first degassing hole 9 is provided on the upstream side (supplying part side) thereof, and the second degassing hole 12 connected to a vacuum pump 13 is provided on the downstream side (a measuring part side) thereof. Accordingly, a major part of air and water component contained in the raw material is discharged through the first degassing hole 9, and the remainder is discharged through the second degassing hole 12 and the vacuum pump 13. |
