PURPOSE:To make it possible to be carried in and out in a way of changing a sense of each article, by making a clamp holding member 6, which is rotatable around a horizontal shaft, travelable and liftable along a row of racks, while composing it free of advance or retreat inside the rack. CONSTITUTION:A traveling frame 2 and a lifting frame 4 are driven so as to cause a clamp 9 to be opposed to an outgoing article 88, while a clamp piece of the clamp 9 is expanded wide by a clamp operating cylinder 67. Next, a traversing frame (unillustrated herein) installed in the lifting frame 4 is shifted sideways toward a rack row 1, and then the clamp 9 is shifted to an article holding position. Then, the clamp 9 is driven in a state of holding the article by means of the cylinder 67. Successively, conveyance takes place by the traverse frame retraction, the traveling frame 2 and the lifting frame 4 and simultaneously the clamp 9 is turned round as far as 90 deg. with a clamp turning device in the midway. With this constitution, a sense of each article can be changed in time of conveyance. |
