PURPOSE:To achieve an always optimal braking property, by using different pressure-sensitive plates to detect the depressing force on a brake pedal and the thrust of the push rod of a master cylinder in terms of the changes in resistances to obtain an electromagnetic assisting force depending on the signals of the detection. CONSTITUTION:An electroconductive plate 2a is secured on the tip of an operating rod 2 coupled to a brake pedal 1. Another electroconductive plate 3a is secured on the end of the push rod 3 of a braking master cylinder 4. Both the electroconductive plates 2a, 3a face each other in parallel. Two pressure-sensitive rubber sheets A, B are provided on both the sides of a movable plate 5 between the electroconductive plates 2a, 3a. The movable plate 5 is secured with two legs 5a on a magnetic member 6, around which an iron-made case 7 containing an electromagnetic coil 8 is provided. The magnetic member 6 is urged rightward by a coil spring 10 provided between the case 7 and a flange 9 secured on the magnetic member. The quantity of electricity to be supplied to the coil 8 is controlled depending on the changes in the resistances of the pressure-sensitive rubber sheets A, B. |
