摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a large reproduced output by providing the 1st magnetic layer contg. Fe(CO)5 powder having coercive force of a specific value or below then the 2nd magnetic layer contg. ferromagnetic material powder having a specific value or above of the squareness ratio in the direction perpendicular on the surface of a recording medium on a non-magnetic substrate. CONSTITUTION:The 1st magnetic layer consisting essentially of pulverous Fe (CO)5 powder having <=50 oersted coercive force and a binder (general thermosetting and thermoplastic resins, etc.) is formed on a non-magnetic substrate and the 2nd magnetic layer consisting essentially of pulverous ferromagnetic powder such as gammaFe2O3, Co-contg. gamma-Fe2O3, CrO2 or ferromagnetic alloy of Fe, Ni, Co, etc., Ba ferrite of hexagonal system, etc. having >=0.4 squareness ratio in the direction perpendicular to the surface of a magnetic recording medium and a binder is formed thereon, thereby forming a magnetic medium. Recording and reproduction are accomplished with good efficiency even if high density recording is performed by using a ring type head having a narrow gap.
