PURPOSE:To debug a microprocessor system at a debugging terminal, by interrupting the system from the debugging terminal to convert a vector address to an address where the control is transferred to a debugging control program. CONSTITUTION:A terminal 10 is connected to a device 1 to be debugged, and a signal ER on an RS232C interface 11 can be converted by an address converting circuit 14. By the debugging indication from the terminal 10, a break signal detecting circuit 13 provided in a serial-parallel converting circuit 12 detects a break signal to output an interruption signal to a terminal NMI of a microprocessor 2. The microprocessor 2 interrupts the processing and the converting circuit 14 converts an address A outputted to an address bus 4 to an address C of a debugging address area 18 and outputs this address C to the address bus 4. The debugging address area 18 is fetched, and the control is transferred to an address D of a debugging control program area 19, thus executing debugging. |
