PURPOSE:To form easily a film with high sensitivity and to obtain an optical recording member giving a record with high shelf stability by using a thin film of a mixture consisting of a specified volume percentage each of copper phthalocyanine and amorphous carbon as a member for forming an optical recording layer. CONSTITUTION:A film 2 of a mixture consisting of 98-50vol.% copper phthalocyanine and 2-50vol% amorphous carbon is formed on one side of a disklike acrylic resin substrate 1 in a vacuum apparatus using copper phthalocyanine 11a in an evaporator 11 and carbon 12a in a means 12 of evaporation preferably by electron beam heating. The thickness of the film 2 is 300-2,000Angstrom . The substrate 1 and a substrate 1' having a film 2' formed in the same way are placed so that the films 2, 2' face each other, and they are connected with an outer connector 3 and an inner connector 4 to obtain an optical disk. The thicknesses of the films 2, 2' are monitored with monitors 13, 14. The films 2, 2' are not deteriorated by oxidation with air or moisture, and a recording member enabling easy writing with a semiconductor laser beam and having a long life is obtd. |
