PURPOSE:To reduce electric power consumption, the size of a pressing mechanism and the weight of a welding gun device by disposing a transformer behind the pivotal position of gun arms and disposing the pressing mechanism behind the same. CONSTITUTION:A pair of upper and lower gun arms 4, 4 are freely openably and closably fitted to the front end part of a holding frame 1 which holes a transformer 5. The rear end parts of the arms 4, 4 are extended backward with the disposing part of the transformer 5 inserted therebetween. A pressing mechanism 6 is disposed at the extension end thereof. The mechanism 6 is actuated to open and close cooperatively the arms 4, 4 and the work is welded in the stage of being clamped by the prescribed pressing force. The distance between a pivotal shaft 3 and the mechanism 6 is taken relatively long and a desired pressing force with respect to the work is obtd. with a small capacity. The conducting path to the arm 4 is decreased and the electric power consumption is reduced. |
