PURPOSE:To restrain the change of a strip tension of a rolling mill to the minimum and to improve the quality of product by compensating a reference signal of mill speed in constituting a titled method, in a system where an installation at the inlet side of looper located at the front of the mill is controlled basing on the mill speed. CONSTITUTION:Speed detectors SS1, SS2 are attached respectively to motors 5M, 6M of a bridle roll 5 placed at the inlet of a mill 6 and the mill 6, and signals outputted from these detectors are inputted to a speed compensating circuit 11 to obtain the difference between both signals. Then a speed compensating signal corresponding to the change of a rolling reduction of the mill 6 is obtained to compare it with a speed reference signal outputted from a central speed reference circuit 8 by a comparator COM thereby the amount of difference obtained after said comparison is inputted to an inlet-side speed-reference circuit 9. An output of the circuit 9 is inputted to a speed controlling device 3VC to control the drive of a bridle roll 3 placed at the inlet of looper. Thus the speed of a strip at the inlet side of the mill 6 is made perfectly equal to that of the strip at the inlet side of the looper, and the position change of the looper 4 is eliminated thereby the purpose is achieved. |
