PURPOSE:To provide a reduction gear which generates small noise and vibration, has small size and weight, and has a high reduction ratio, by a method wherein, at a part where a planetary gear protrudes from a sun gear, the planetary gear engages with the inner surface of a belt, and simultaneously, the outer peripheral surface of a belt, and simultaneously, an outer peripheral gear engages with the outer surface of the belt. CONSTITUTION:A pair of sun gears 4, 4 are, concentrically with an input shaft, positioned close to both sides of a planetary gear 3 and are securely mounted to casings 5 and 6, and a belt 7, having teeth on both sides, is suspended between the planetary gear 3 and a pair of the sun gears 4 and 4. With the input shaft 1 rotated in the direction of an arrow mark B, the planetary gear 3 is revolved in the direction of the arrow mark B. The planetary gear 3 is rotatably mounted to a crank shaft 2, and engages with a pair of the planetary gears 4, 4 through the belt 7, whereby it turns on its own axis in the direction of an arrow mark C as it revolves along the sun gear. Through revolution of the planetary gear 3, the belt 7 is moved in the direction of an arrow mark D, and through movement of the belt 7, an outer peripheral gear 8 is turned in the direction of an arrow mark E. |
