<p>PURPOSE:To reset a call of PVC (permanent virtual circuit) by an optimum route by releasing an old route immediately after a final data packet of the old route is received after the preparation for resetting by the optimum route is finished. CONSTITUTION:When the call setting of a PVC is made by a route other than the 1st selection (optimum) route, a packet call processing section 1 transmits an information signal S0 to a PVC route monitor 2. The PVC route monitor 2 transmits a confirming signal periodically to the packet call processing section 1 to confirm the restoration of the 1st route. When the packet call processing section 1 receives a confirming signal, checks the presence of the restoration of the 1st route and responds to the PVC route monitor 2 by a confirming response signal. The PVC route monitor 2 transmits a resetting request signal to a PVC optimum route resetting device 3 at transmission side when the 1st route is restored. When the PVC optimum route resetting device 3 at transmission side receives the resetting request signal, a recalling request packet CR' is transmitted to the packet call processing section 1. The call processing section 1 transmits the packet CR' to the incoming side on the restored 1st route.</p> |
