The machine aligns and transports bottle caps or similar items comprising a disc enclosed by a cylindrical wall and with an extending grip lug or ring (1a). The caps (1) are delivered unaligned along a track, where they are roughly sorted with their plain sides held against the track by force at right angles to the latter. - On part of the track, a force acts on the caps in another direction, so as to eject wrongly aligned ones and return them for resorting. The roughly sorted ones, with their plain sides against the track, are then brought into contact with an alignment rail, which brings all their grip lugs into line.(1) |
