Dispenser for sheets of paper with vertical loading and front dispensing, consisting of a parallepipedal vertical upper casing 1 and a lower casing 23 whose rear plate 4 is located in the extension of the rear plate 2, the latter having a concave shape whose cross-section is an arc of a circle whose angle at the centre is between 0.38 and 0.495 pi radian. The rear plate 4 is connected at its lower end 5 to a front plate 6 whose front face is inclined downwards and forms an angle with the plane parallel to that of the rear plate 2 of between 0.005 and 0.111 pi radian. The front plate is equipped with an opening 9 in the zone for gripping the sheet of paper. Moreover, the dispenser is covered with a cowling 15. This dispenser is used, in particular, for dispensing paper towels. <IMAGE>
