PURPOSE:To improve the cooling effect of a ventilator for a rotary electric ma- chine by providing a straightening plate in a lattice state in a rotor spoke mounted on a rotational shaft for feeding cooling air to straighten the stream of the cooling air, thereby preventing the vortex flow to moderate the energy loss. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of rotor spokes 4 which are mounted via bolts to a rotational shaft 1 are rotated to generate an air stream as designated by arrows. The air stream passes through ventilating holes 8 of a rotor rim 7 to cool a rotor coil 9, further cool a stator core 12 and a stator coil 11, thereby thermally exchanging at 15 and is circulated into a stator frame 13. A plurality of straightening plates 17, 18 are arranged horizontally and vertically in a lattice state inside the spokes 4 at both sides and the ventilating holes formed at upper and lower plates 5, 6 for integrally mounting the spokes. In this manner, the air flow is straightened to prevent a vortex from occurring, thereby eliminating a deviation of pneumatic pressure. Thus, the air flow rates to the ventilating holes 8, 14 are equalized to moderate the energy loss, thereby improving the cooling effect. |
