PURPOSE:To enable to perform smooth feed of a bonding wire necessitating no jet gas, and generating no vibration and no noise by a method wherein a bonding wire storage part is formed by applying tension to the bonding wire utilizing force according to a current and a magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:When a current I is turned on according to a current source 11, because the part of the bonding wire 2 passing in the slit 8 of an electromagnet 7 is put in a magnetic field B generated according to the electromagnet 7, the wire receives force F from the magnetic field B in conformity with the Fleming's left-hand rule. Accordingly, the bonding wire 2 is curved by receiving tension in the direction of force F, and the curved part thereof can store the bonding wire 2 to be bonded next as a bonding wire storage part. Accordingly, the bonding wire 2 thereof is bonded according to a bonding tool 3, and moreover the bonding wire 2 equivalent to the used quantity according to bonding thereof is led out by rotating a spool 1 by a motor 4 for the rotation of the spool according to the stored quantity thereof, and the storage part is formed again to prepare arrangement for next bonding. |
