This wrench of the type comprising an elastic bar connected to a drive head, carrying extensometers disposed at different distances from the axis of rotation of the head and connected in a Wheatstone bridge circuit is characterised in that the said bar 3 is articulated on a sleeve 2 by means of two spindles 6, 7 parallel to the axis of rotation O of the head 5, the first of these articulation spindles being spaced from the said axis of rotation O by a distance a, the second spindle of articulation 7 being spaced from the first one 6 by a distance b, at least two extensometers 14, 15, integral with the bar 3 having identical characteristics being disposed, one of them 14 between the first spindle of articulation 6 and the said axis of rotation O at a distance x from the latter and the second extensometer 15 being located between the said first and the said second axes of articulation at a distance y from the latter, such that a/x = b/y. <IMAGE>
