A device for calibrating an analyser comprising a multiplicity of sample vessels for receiving a few types of calibration samples, a sample vessel support, a device for conveying the sample vessel support or the sample vessels and, optionally, a device for determining whether analyses necessitate a calibration or not has, for the purpose of accelerating the working procedure, information input means (20) provided at the side of the analyser, and a central computer unit (21) which processes the measurements provided by the analyser (22) so as to produce outputtable measurement data, corrects them by taking the calibration measurements into consideration and outputs them via an output device (23) which designates analyses for which it is necessary to carry out the calibration and effects the result that the calibration of the analyser is carried out selectively on the basis of the information the output device supplies. <IMAGE>
