PURPOSE:To connect an element having narrow terminal pitch to a circuit board easily by providing a liquid-crystal element with electrodes other than electrodes which are used for display, and aligning those electrodes to the electrodes of the circuit board and forming a closed circuit. CONSTITUTION:Dummy electrodes 5 and 6 are provided to upper plate glass 2 provided with an upper plate electrode 1 and lower plate glass 4 provided with a lower plate electrode 3 and connected together at a connection point 7. A circuit board 8 is provided with terminals 9, 10, and 11, which are connected by the electrodes 1 and 3 of the element and conductive rubber members 12, 13, and 14. An ohmmeter 16 is connected between terminals 9 and 10 to form the closed circuit of the terminal 9, conductive rubber 12, dummy electrodes 5 and 6, conductive rubber 13, and terminal 10; and an ohmmeter 16 is connected between the terminals 9 and 11 to constitute the closed circuit of the terminal 9, conductive rubber 12, dummy electrode 5, conductive ribber 14, and terminal 11. For this purpose, the position of the liquid-crystal element is adjusted on the basis of the dummy electrodes 5 and 6. Consequently, the connection between the liquid-crystal element and the circuit board 8 is confirmed electrically, so even if the terminal pitch is narrowed down, both are connected accurately. |
