Positively controlled intermediate-space covers for road trains

The invention relates to pivotable intermediate-space covers which predominantly cover the sides of the free space between lorry body and trailer body in such a manner that they form approximately a continuous surface with the side surfaces of the lorry and trailer bodies. The intermediate-space covers are mounted pivotably on the end of the lorry body and on cornering are caused by the bending movement of the road train to be pivoted in a positively controlled manner around their joint points in such a manner that they, on the one hand, can be detached from the trailer leading surface, largely adapt themselves to the curve followed by the train, and that, on the other hand, they are prevented from jamming between trailer and lorry body.
