PURPOSE:To make it possible to improve the flow of a glass fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin during melting, by sizing a glass fiber with a sizing composition in which a silane coupling agent and a zircoaluminate coupling agent are used combinedly. CONSTITUTION:A sizing composition for glass fiber in which a silane coupling agent and a zircoaluminate coupling agent are used combinedly. The zircoaluminate coupling agent is, for example, a compound of the formula (wherein R<1> is acyl, R<2> and R<3> may be the same or different and are each an organic group having a reactive functional group). It is preferable that said sizing composition for glass fiber contains a polymer resin (e.g., polyurethane or polyvinyl acetate) as an adhesive and a smoothing agent (e.g., paraffin wax or silicone) in addition to the above two coupling agents. |
