PURPOSE:To perform a proper exposure surely without requiring special operation, by controlling automatically emitted light in quantity in the TTL mode when an external light mode is set and the aperture control to be controlled by a camera is not performed properly. CONSTITUTION:A light emission stop signal output circuit FTT on the camera side outputs a light emission stop signal in the TTL mode through a photographic lens LE and a photographic aperture APL in response to closing of an X contact SX. A discriminating circuit JUD discriminates whether the aperture control is performed properly or not. A selector SEL3 on the strobe side gives the signal from the circuit FTT to a selector SEL4 when the contact SX is closed, and the selector SEL3 supplies the signal from the circuit JUD to a storage circuit ME when the contact SX is opened. A light emission stop signal output circuit FOU measures a quantity of reflected light from an object to give a light emission stop signal to the selector SEL4. When the external light mode is selected and the signal indicating that a proper aperture control is impossible is stored in the circuit ME, the signal from the circuit FTT is given to a light emission control circuit FLC. |
