<p>A coupling device connects metal frame members (5), (6), (50), (51) of U-shaped cross-section through a resin coupler (7), (52) thereby to constitute a formed frame for a picture or panel. The frame members have fitting holes (9) provided in either rear panels (5c), (6c), (50c), (51c) or side panels (5a), (5b), (6a), (6b), (50a), (50b), (51a), (51b), or notches (54) provided in support ridges (8), (53) formed on the side panels. The couplers are of L-shaped cross-section and have projections (12), (56) to engage with the fitting holes (9) or notches (54) provided in the frame members, as well as retaining ridges (11), (55) to come in press contact or engage with the support ridges (8), (53) formed on the frame members. Thus, the coupling device permits the frame members to be engaged with or disengaged from each other as desired.</p> |
