A servo steering, particularly for motor vehicles, comprises amongst other things a pilot valve with two valve pistons (45, 46). The valve has a feed connection (5), a return connection (16) and, between said connections, a connection (10, 11) for both sides of a servo motor (14). A reaction chamber (24, 25) is adjacent to each front side of the pistons (45, 46). The reaction chambers (24, 25) are close to the pilot valve positions situated between an inlet pilot opening (19, 20) and a reaction pilot opening (22, 23). The steering is further comprised of a controllable reaction device wherein the reaction chambers (24, 25) are hydraulically separated from each other by fixed restrictions (36, 37) and are connected by one of the fixed restrictions to a common control member (38) of which the restriction cross-section varies according to the driving speed. Controllable non-return valves (30, 31) are arranged in the direction of the respective reaction chamber, on one hand between the reaction chambers (24, 26) and on the other hand between the working spaces of the servo motor (14) which are connected to the chambers. A restriction (30, 31) is arranged between the connections (10, 11) for both sides of the servo motor (14) and the connection position (28, 29) for the reaction chambers (24, 25). With such a servo-controlled steering, not only the hydraulic reaction may be controlled by also the operation of the servo.
|
