The invention proposes a process for automatically supplying watering water to plant crops, closed off in the form of beds, in greenhouses, in which process a limited amount of watering water is directly supplied to the crop bed in dependence on the degree of opening of the stomata of the plants. The constriction of these stomata is measured on the basis of an irregular reduction in the atmospheric humidity, otherwise restricted to specific values, of the bed. <IMAGE>
