PURPOSE:To grasp the abnormality of blades accurately, by detecting the vibration of a machine tool, and estimating the abnormality of the blades based on the vibrating state. CONSTITUTION:A vibration pickup 4 is attached to a saw tooth head 1 and detects the vibration of the saw tooth head 1 during the operation. A saw tooth rotation pickup 5 outputs one pulse for every one rotation of a circular saw teeth 1a around its main shaft. The time between the pulse and the pulse indicates one rotary period, i.e., the operating period of a main steel pipe cutting apparatus. The signals, which are outputted from the vibration pickup 4 and the saw tooth rotation pickup 5, are amplified by preamplifiers 6 and 6 and inputted to a counter 7. The counter 7 analyzes the vibrating state of the saw tooth head 1, which is measured at every one rotation period of the circular saw teeth 1a. When the vibration of the saw tooth head 1 is abnormal, an abnormal signal is sent to a control device 3. When the control device 3 receives the abnormal signal, the control device 3 performs the stopping process of the circular saw teeth 1a and the like, and outputs the operating command to an automatic saw tooth replacing device and the like. |
