A driving device for wipers of motor vehicles has a cup-shaped gear housing and a driving wheel which is mounted rotatably therein and has an eccentric bore. Inserted by a first end into the bore is a pin, close to the second end of which there engages a connecting rod which is in engagement with further gear elements. The pin is supported by its second end via a slider on the gear housing which is designed as a covering cap which bears by its spherical end against an inner surface of the gear housing, engages over the second end of the pin and is supported by its edge against the connecting rod. By this means, the position of the driving wheel and of the connecting rod in the planes provided is secured without expensive operations such as knurlings etc. having to be undertaken on the pin or on the said gear elements.
