PURPOSE:To perform the degree conversion of a character font in a short time by simple operation by performing specific multiplication in a row and a column direction, and removing a character pattern from the row and the column at an equal interval to obtain the character pattern of desired size. CONSTITUTION:A character Lp1 is read among character fonts of P1XP2 dots stored in an ROM11 and written in an original pattern memory 12, and the pattern Lp1 is sent to a main memory 14. Then, the pattern Lp1 is expanded 13 in the memory 14 by row and column copying processing. This circuit 13 expands the pattern Lp1 in the row and column directions each twice. Then, a removing circuit 15 performs row and column removal processing at an equal interval in order to convert a character pattern Lnp of 48X48 dots to 32X32 dots in the memory 14. Then, the pattern Lq after the degree conversion to 32X32 dots is transmitted to and printed out by a print output circuit 16. |
