PURPOSE:To improve the mixture of the air with atomized fuel and to provide stable and uniform flame through separation and removal of fuel particle with large grain size in the atomized fuel, by introducing the air so that a swirl flow is produced within an atomizing chamber. CONSTITUTION:When an ultrasonic vibrator 8 is operative, it radiates ultrasonic wave in a part of liquid fuel 1, proportioned to a part 21 of a first surface level of liquid, to erect a liquid column 23 to atomize the liquid fuel 1. Liquid drop with large grain size, not atomized by means of ultrasonic wave radiated from the ultrasonic vibrator 8, is dropped on a part 22 of a second surface level of liquid, and the wave motion, created when dropped, is prevented from being propagated to the part 21 of a surface level of liquid with the aid of a partition member 19. When the ultrasonic vibrator 8 is operated, a blower 18, simultaneously, is actuated, and this causes the air to be introduced to an internal space 13 through an air feed pipe 17 and to flow in a guide space 10 through a tube 25 forming a swirl flow generating device. The air is mixed with atomized fuel produced in the guide space 10 to produce air-fuel mixture having uniform concentration, which is introduced from a slit 15 in a burner head 16 through a conduit 14 to form flame 27. |
