PURPOSE:To permit the pushing work for a piston into a cylinder in continuation by using a holding fin in the piston assembly work in which the piston of an internal-combustion engine is inserted into the cylinder and assembled. CONSTITUTION:After the holding of a piston 6 is released, the holding tool 2 is moved upward a little to form a closed state, and then the holding tool 2 is moved downward and attached onto the top surface of the piston 6 at the contact part 3a at the lower edge of each holding piece 3, and said piston 6 is pushed-into a cylinder 8 against the springy force of a piston ring 6a. Thus, the insertion work for the piston 6 into a guide ring 8 and the pushing-in work into the cylinder 7 can be carried-out efficiently in the same process continuously by using the holding tool 2 in common, and the line base and equipment cost can be reduced, and productivity can be improved. |
