PURPOSE:To prevent impoliteness to a calling subscriber with composure afforded to a called subscriber and also to improve the working efficiency of the titled telephone exchange, by giving words to both the calling and called subscribers prior to an automatic camp-on operation. CONSTITUTION:When a call of a trunk caller 202 arrives at an exchange 203 and then an attendant board 205, a telephone operator answers the call and inquires the name of the caller 202, the number of an extension called subscriber 201, etc. In this case, if the subscriber 201 is busy, this state is informed to the caller 202 and makes him/her wait with the trunk line held. Then a connection line 211 is formed between an attendant board 205 and an aural mail device 206 to record the names of calling and called subscribers along with the number of the called subscriber. Then an automatic camp-on operation starts. When the subscriber 201 becomes idle, a connection line is formed between the caller 202 and an aural answering device 207 to deliver a set phrase to the caller 202. Furthermore the name of the caller 202 is informed to the subscriber 201. Then a connection line 214 is formed between the caller 202 and the subscriber 201 for communication between them. |
