PURPOSE:To prevent a forcible load from being exerted on a machine tool and to effectively utilize the front surface of a head frame as the installation space of a processing unit, by a method wherein a hydraulic pump is housed in an oil tank inside the head frame. CONSTITUTION:A hydraulic pump 22 is housed in an oil tank 21 formed in the internal space of a head frame 6. In this connection, the position of the center of gravity of a head device is displaced to the back side compared with the hydraulic pump installed on the front surface of the head frame bending moment exerted on the annular rail of a machine tool from which the head frame 6 hangs is reduced to prevent a forcible load from being applied on the annular rail, and additionally, the front surface of the head frame can be utilized effectively. |
