PURPOSE:To enable a vehicle to be started smoothly even on a soft road, by interconnecting a friction clutch with a manual releasing mechanism. CONSTITUTION:Since the speed change friction clutch 10 can be operated to be in the semiclutched state by the manual operation of the release lever positioned near the steering wheel, the torque that is transmitted from a crank-shaft to driving wheels can be arbitrarily regulated by the driver. Therefore when a vehicle such as a motor tricycle that has an automatic clutch 7 for starting and a friction clutch 10 for changing speed is started on a soft surface such as a swampy ground or snow surface, the torque to be transmitted to the driving wheels can be regulated to a suitable magnitude for the starting by operating the manual release mechanism using the release lever, so that quite smooth start can be effected. |
