PURPOSE:To accurately perform the setting of the bell sounding time of a hand display type wristwatch, by detecting the rotation number of a step motor for driving a hand to store the same in memory. CONSTITUTION:A hand display type electronic wristwatch with bell sounding function is constituted of a battery 13, an oscillator circuit 14, a frequency dividing circuit 15, a bell sounding time setting circuit 16 consisting of a memory circuit 18 and a driving signal pulse line generating circuit 17, a bell sounding function drive circuit 19, a step motor drive circuit 20, a speaker part 21, a step motor part 22 and a step motor rotation detecting circuit 23. The setting of bell sounding time is performed by such a way that the step motor driving signal pulse line generating circuit 17 is brought to an ON-state and the step motor is driven to rotate a hand until reaching the desirable time to be set. The rotation number of the step motor is counted by the rotation detecting circuit 23 and stored in the memory circuit 18. |
