PURPOSE:To obtain a developer superior in storage stability, fixability, etc. by using for a toner a copolymer made from a specified glycidyl (meth)acrylate type cross-linkable monomer and a monomer solvating with the liquid carrier of a liquid developer both before and after polymn. CONSTITUTION:A copolymer or a terpolymer is made from a cross-linkable monomer A represented by the formula shown here in which R1, R2 are each H or methyl, and n is 1-10, and a monomer B of 6-20C alkyl (meth)acrylate capable of solvating with an aliphatic hydrocarbon or halogenated aliphatic hydrocarbon used for the liquid carrier of a liquid developer both before and after polymn. in a monomer ratio of (0.1-20):(1-50), or further, together with the third monomer, such as styrene. The liquid developer is obtained by kneading this copolymer with a colorant and the liquid carrier. The dispersibility of this toner in the developer is stable, and fixability and resolution of the toner is superior, and gelation and separation of the colorant, etc. are avoided. |
