PURPOSE:To obtain a positive plate in which separation of an active material is difficultly caused by dispersedly fixing minute particles of a thermoplastic resin over the surface of a grid, being followed by packing the grid with a positive paste containing minute particles of a thermoplastic resin before drying. CONSTITUTION:A grid is dipped in solution prepared by homogeneously dispersing minute particles of a thermoplastic resin such as polyvinylchloride having grain diameters of 0.1-8mum to cause the minute particles to adhere to the grid. Next, the grid is packed with a positive paste containing lead powder and minute particles of a similar thermoplastic resin in a ratio of 1 to 0.01-0.05. After that, the thus formed body is dried at a temperature over the melting point of the thermoplastic resin and lower than the melting point of the grid, thereby making a positive plate. As a result, minute particles of the thermoplastic resin contained in the paste fuse near the grid forming three-dimensional network structure, thereby enabling separation of softening active material to be greatly suppressed by satisfactorily supporting it. |
