发明名称 MANUFACTURE OF POSITIVE PLATE FOR LEAD STORAGE BATTERY
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a positive plate in which separation of an active material is difficultly caused by packing a positive paste containing minute particles of a fluorine resin over the surface of a grid, then drying the thus formed body at a temperature over the sintering temperature of the resin and lower than the melting point of the grid. CONSTITUTION:A positive paste prepared by dispersing lead powder and minute particles of a fluorine resin such as Teflon having grain diameters of 0.2-0.4mum in a ratio of 1 to 0.01-0.05, is packed into a grid. After that, the thus formed body is dried at a temperature over the sintering temperature of the minute particles of the fluorine resin and lower than the melting point of the grid, thereby making a positive plate. As a result, the minute particles of the fluorine resin are bound together through sintering during the above drying process forming three-dimensional network structure in the paste layer. Therefore, the active material is satisfactorily supported during its softening process, and any overuse of the active material is prevented by suppressing diffusion of sulfuric acid near the grid. Consequently, the performance of the positive plate can be greatly improved by preventing any separation of the active material.
