摘要 |
<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a wire having a prescribed size with accuracy by posturing the wire into a semicircular arcuate loop between a finish rolling mill and a pinch roll and controlling the speed of the finish rolling mill so that a position of the loop is kept in a set range. CONSTITUTION:A speed of a pinch roll 8 is calculated by an arithmetic element 10 based on a speed of a finish rolling mill 1 inputted to the element 10 and a position of a wire or steel bar 2 measured by a position detector 12 and a speed of the pinch roll 8 is controlled. Thus, the wire is rolled without allowing to contact with a turndown trough 9 and the wire rod or steel bar 2 between the mill 1 and the pinch roll 8 is rolled with a tension of the wire or steel bar 2 being nearly zero, so that the dimensional accuracy of the wire or steel bar 2 is improved.</p> |
