<p>A human waste-treating appts. consists of several tanks in series, of which each has a pressure-releasing device and an air-introducing inlet. Each tank also has a waste exit and inlet openings. The pressure-releasing device is located at or above the outlet opening and the air inlet is positioned below the outlet opening and is connected with the tank inside. The outlet opening of each tank is connected to the inlet opening of the next tnak so that the pressure in the tank inside decreases by degrees and finally becomes equal to the atmospheric pressure in the last tank.</p> |
