<p>A band clip is formed in one piece from a doubled length of wire to provide two annular portions with overlapping ends which are cranked outwardly. A compression spring ML is provided between the cranked ends ES1, ES2 to urge them apart and effect a clamping action on a hose or the like extending through the annular portions. This enables the clip to recover automatically any play resulting from thermal changes or chemical degradation. In a modification, the cranked ends are cranked to a U-shaped configuration to provide a well in which sits and is located a half-moon shaped nipple N1<10>, N1<20>. An adjustment screw threadedly engages one nipple N1<20> and extends therethrough towards the another nipple N1<10> and is formed on its inner end with a collar N1<11>, the compression spring being disposed between this collar and the other nipple so that its compression can be varied by operation of the adjustment screw. <IMAGE></p> |
