<p>The method secures additional wheels detachably to the original wheels of a vehicle, particularly a tractor. It uses a cylindrical annular plate (3) bearing against the rims of the original and additional wheels, together with a number of locking lugs (5) at intervals round the original wheel. The lugs are engaged by mating locking devices (4,6,9) on the annular plate, and typically welded to the latter. - Each locking device can incorporate a catch with a hooked end and is held in position in a bush by a screw passing through a hole in the latter and engaging a tapped hole. The screw head bears against the outside of the bush.
