<p>PURPOSE:To improve the contrast and visual characteristic of the titled display device by forming the film of a polyimidoisoindoloquinazolinedione polymer obtained by dehydrating and cyclizing a specified polyamide acid on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:The electrode is provided on the side facing the liq. crystal of the liq. crystal-contg. substrate. The film of the polyimidoisoindoloquinazolinedione, obtained by dehydrating and cyclizing the polyamide acid obtained by the reaction of a carboxylic anhydride, a diamine and a diaminomonoamine in which a fluorine atom is incorporated in at least one of the diamine and the diaminomonoamide, is formed on the substrate and the electrode. The polyamide acid is synthesized by the reaction of the carboxylic anhydride, the diamine and the diaminomonoamide under agitation, and the reaction is conducted at <=50 deg.C in the absence of water. The equimolar carboxylic anhydride, diamine and diaminomonoamide are preferably used in the reaction. Consequently, the liq. crystal display device having excellent contrast and visual characteristic can be obtained.</p> |
