<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of a product shape and that of a product quality caused by the load concentration to a specific stand, by maintaining the variation degree of a rolling load at each stand constant, in a titled device of gauge meter system in a multi-roll continuous mill. CONSTITUTION:An arithmetic device 7 for deciding a tuning factor alpha of a gauge meter system AGC (automatic sheet gauge controlling device ) device 6 is provided. When a material S to be rolled arrives at the prescribed position before continuous stands, a setting computer 8 performs a schedule calculation to set each installation of mill to a prescribed condition and to give several parameters to the device 7. Basing on the given parameters, the device 7 decides immediately a tuning factor alphai basing on an prescribed equation to give it to each device 6. When the material S is bitten by a final stand, the alphai is calculated again by the device 7 basing on the equation because the reaction for rolling force of the whole stand is actually obtained at that time, and the alphai is set to the device 6. After that, the AGC at each stand is continued till the material S runs out of each stand.</p> |
