PURPOSE:To prevent water-hammering, by providing an exhaust quantity control valve which faces the large air hole of the lid of an air valve and substantially hinders only much exhaust. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust quantity control valve 7, which substantially hinders only much exhaust, is provided in the face of a large air hole 4A which is provided in the lid 4 of an air valve to perform much suction and exhaust. When water is caused to flow through a pipe, a float valve 2 in a valve casing 1 gravitates so that the large-diameter air hole 4A of the lid 4 is opened. At that time, the exhaust quantity control valve 7 facing the air hole 4A restricts the quantity of exhaust and allows only a small quantity of exhaust so that the water gradually flows into the valve casing 1 when the water is introduced into it. For that reason, a harmful water hammer does not occur. |
