CONSTITUTION:A magazine 16 to which the combs 1 stacked in a magazine supply section 15 are set is placed on a belt 17 and forwarded up to a comb carrying line, sprockets 28 intrude among the legs of the combs 1, and the magazine 16 is fed into a carrying section 18. The combs 1 are carried at every one pitch up to a reading section for the central position of an element 3 constituted by an optical system 34 and a camera 36. The slider with the positioning pins 11 intrudes into the legs of the combs 1 through a lever 103, etc. The movable pin 112 is released from a bearing 117 at that time, and holds the legs of the combs 1 and positions the combs 1.
