PURPOSE:To improve the Po characteristic (light emitting efficiency) by means of utilizing a specific resin composition as a sealing resin. CONSTITUTION:A light emitting element is sealed utilizing a thermosetting resin composition comprising a resin mixture containing 20-70wt% of epoxy resin containing two elements or more per molecule and 30-80wt% of addition reactant to epoxy resin and lactone group, acid anhydride hardener and diazobicycloalkyl group as hardening accelerator. The addition reactant is produced by making epoxy resin and lactone group additionally react under the existance of a catalyst such as boron trifluoride or boron trifluoride diethylether complex. Said addition reactant is a multifunctional spiroorthoester compound containing two or more spiroorthoester radicals represented by the general chemical expression (where R represents bivalent organic radical) as shown right side. On the other hand, e.g. hexanhydride phthalic anhydride, tetrahydrophthalicanhydride, methylhexahydrophthlicanhydride and the like may be utilized as the acid anhydride hardener. |
