PURPOSE:To rapidly start a power controller by gradually increasing the conduction rate of a chopper unit when the unit is turned ON. CONSTITUTION:A chopper unit 11 and a flywheel diode 12 are connected to a power controller 8 through an inverted L type filter 7. When the controller 8 is started, the unit 11 is operated by gradually increasing the conduction angle in the prescribed period. Thus, the voltage of a filter capacitor 6 is gradually increased, and it is not necessary to provide a damping resistor. Incidentally, the conduction rate of the chopper may be gradually increased by gradually increasing the chopper frequency. |
