A vacuum flask includes a heat insulating body composed of an outer barrel (1) of stainless steel and a pair of stainless steel containers (2) housed therein in coaxially spaced relation to each other. The outer barrel and the containers jointly define a space in which a vacuum is developed, and each have necks (1a, 2a) opening outwardly, which are sealingly fitted together. Plugs (5) are removably fitted in the necks of the containers and outer covers (6) are removably fitted over opposite ends of the outer barrel in covering relation to the plugs. A handle (9) is attached to a pair of rings (8) fitted over the outer barrel adjacent to the ends thereof, the rings having bases (7) for positioning the vacuum flask on a flat surface.
