PURPOSE:To record desired picture data easily on even a magnetic recording medium such as a magnetic card by dividing picture data to plural blocks and providing tracks, whose number corresponds to the number of blocks, in parallel and writing reading data on corresponding tracks simultaneously in parallel. CONSTITUTION:A picture to be recorded is converted to a digital signal, and one-frame components of picture data are stored in a frame memory 5. A control part 9 takes out successively picture data to be cut from the frame memory 5 on a basis of data of a picture cutting set part 10 and stores this picture data in buffer memories 81-8k divisionally. When the magnetic card is inserted, picture data is recorded on k-number of tracks of the magnetic card in parallel through heads 141-14k. In case of reproduction, picture data is read out by k- number of heads and are read out as digital data by k-number of pulse width decoders and is stored successively in k-number of buffer memories. The control part scans these buffer memories successively to shift picture data to the frame memory successively, and original picture data is restored in the frame memory. |
