PURPOSE:To enable miniaturization of the equipment by conveying a recording paper between a plurality of thermal heads arranged radially facing one another on one back roll while running an ink doner sheet at the tip of the thermal heads. CONSTITUTION:As a recording paper 3' is conveyed with the rotation of a back roll 104 until the tip thereof arrives near a first thermal head 113 at a first recording section 101, a first doner sheet 112 starts running at the same speed and positioning is done to perform a heat transfer recording of cyan in color. Then, as the tip arrives near a second recording section 102, a heat transfer recording of yellow in color is done with a second thermal head 123 and a second ink doner sheet 122. Subsequently, the paper is circulated to the first recording section 101 to record in magenta and in black at the second recording section 102 thereby enabling a multicolor recording with a heat transfer recording. Thus, the miniaturization of the equipment can be realized thereby allowing reduction in the cost. |
