PRODUCTION OF CONDUCTIVE DISC TYPE RECORDING CARRIER

PURPOSE:To enable improvement in moisture resistance as a disc and to make a producing stage easy by using conductive carbon black particles which are preliminarily moistened with water as conductive particles in the stage of mixing a PVC resin and the conductive particles. CONSTITUTION:Conductive carbon black particles which are preliminarily moistened with water by adding and mixing the water to and with said particles are used in this method in the stage of mixing a PVC resin and the conductive particles, by which the moisture resistance of a disc is improved with addition of a small amt. of water. The problems arising previously in the producing stage are further improved. The water absorbed once in the carbon is hardly to migrate to the PVC resin material in this producing stage and consequently the water-soluble impurities in the carbon are finely dispersed by addition of a relatively small amt. of water, whereby the disc having excellent moisture resistance is obtd.; at the same time, the internal corrosion of a kneader and a compression modling machine which is worried on account of the presence of the water and the decomposition of the PVC resin is remarkably improved.
